Alpha Animals - whats your opinion
Greetings, whats your opinion on this mod ?
Is is bloated/unbalanced/good/bad/awesome/refreshing mod ?

Due to amount of subscribers, it seems like this mod is good, but i'am afraid of some op animals completely negating vanilla one ineffectiveness farm/combat wise

Thanks

I dont find them "OP" but then i dont enjoy struggling in rimworld. It is a fact that many alpha animals are very useful in what they can do.

It adds sheer variety though, its very good.

I like the idea of unusual creatures with special abilities and would really like to play with Alpha Animals, but some of the animals wreck balance (e.g. ground runners are powerful fighters, mine and haul constantly, breed easily, and are easy to train; insect chitin allows you to make dusters that are better than power armor). In the 2-3 play throughs that I used it for the only problems I had is traders not buying some of the animals or leather. Other than that small issue it worked great. It certainly adds a lot of flavor, and you can do some interesting scenarios with it (like giant-spider infested jungles). As far as bloat, it has a setting that allows you to turn off the animals you don't want. I think you can turn off the events as well.
You can disable the animals you find too op
