CB and Health give hilariously great mood boosts once your colony is up and running. The PS is just nice to have in general.
But since I play with specifically built ideologies instead of what's 'best' those three usually don't come up together.
Ah I considered City Builder as well, but I really don't like how it gives you a massive mood penalty for 60 days as soon as you travel...
I haven't tried Healthcare. In what way does it help you?
You get a similar mood boost for having a hospital and it also provides another specialist role.
Combined with City-Builder and you'll have almost perpetually happy pawns even with the travel penalty.
Sounds like a great deal!! The reason I picked Holy Diseases is because it basically makes your pawns immune to infection and illness. Pacifist basically turns every mental break into "dazed", which really helps early game. Both of these become sort of useless after early game, however. Your build seems to help the mid-late game a lot more.
Pacifist works well if you get the precept that gives a small boost for automated defenses, which don't violate the Pacifist tenet. Combat animals and other similar things don't do it either I think.
That's ingenious :D I try not to use turrets and animals normally though. Think they are both too op, but yeah, I think I will give it a try.
In terms of dislikes I learnt to dislike Sweet Tooth from having a guest with it; I'd feed them some of the best desserts, several at a time, and they'd be begging for more in less than half a day which annoyed me to no end. It was like feeding a black hole just to keep them from developing bad moods and I certainly wouldn't want a colony full of them. Party Life's Recreation: Loved nerfed recreation gain speed (essentially turning an Excellent billiards table into Normal garbage), which I discovered to my annoyance applies to even those that aren't part of that ideology when I picked up a pawn with it.
Healthcare had a problem where a tiny speck of dust was enough to trigger the "filthy hospital" mood which eliminated entirely the mood benefit from having a spacious hospital. I reported it to Sarg, and a few others did the same, but he couldn't replicate the issue so it was never fixed. Never bothered with the meme afterwards and ever since they patched it to not appear in faction ideologies it practically doesn't exist.
I favor Psychic Focus if a faction has them and will recruit from them for use as psycasters since they gain energy back much faster which saves labor time lost to meditation. I don't pick it myself since I already stack so much for my own ideology.
These days I run a culturally diverse corporation so I use the Xenophile (HAR, I think?) meme with cherry picked precepts instead.
