Hydroponics "bad seasonal temperature"
I have a few hydroponics basins with a sunlamp and once late fall hit it started saying "bad seasonal temperature" and all my crops died. I have two heaters in the adjacent room with vents. what am I doing wrong?

Well, you can check the temperature the plants need and adjust your air conditioner to compensate. I've never seen this before, but I can easily see how it's possible. It's just inside is usually a controlled environment. Send a pic. We'll look over your setup.

Well, you have vents leading from the heater room to the unroofed pen next door, so that's definitely not helpful.

That part of the pen is roofed though

You have vents leading from the roofed part to the unroofed part.

I recall having the issue prior to putting in the vents, let me try uninstalling those and see if it helps

What is the temperature we're talking about?

Ah, I see it now. You're venting the heat out. That's why the plants died.

its extremely cold outside in both those pictures. Even with a proper setup It can be difficult to keep rooms warm when its that cold and the room is exposed on multiple 1 tile thick walls. Double up walls for better insulation or better yet, put temp sensitive rooms somewhere they well inside your base where temps are more stable the heaters arent fighting the bleed off. Not saying it cant work the way you are doing it, but you are definitely going to need to stop venting heat outside. No value there, just wasting energy

Well, now it's insulated from the heaters.
Also, you don't have to rebuild the vents, you can toggle them to closed.

Also also, why not just build the heaters in the same room as the plants?

Also also also, unrelated, you should build floors under your doors. Leaving them with dirt there means they're a source of dirt to get tracked around, and slows their movement.

-14c during a cold snap without heaters in the same room and with single thick walls... yeah not surprised the plants died.

Building the Heaters in the same room as the plants fixed it. feel like an idiot

Also a heads up click on the sun lamp to see the light radius. Keep your basins inside that. I think your corners are outside. You also do not need space in between and can cram a lot more in that room
