Healer Mech Serum question
Tried googling to forgive me if this has already been asked & answered.

But is the Mech Serum effect a permanent thing? or is it a 1 time use & will need to use another Serum on the same colonist in the future?

Healer mech serums are a one time use consumable.

The regenerated limbs / healed wounds are permanent.

Aight, Good to know. Made the quest worth it then :)

It immediately and permanently removes the problem.
However, that doesn't mean that it can't reoccur. Obviously, things like limb loss can still happen again later, but things like Frail can be caused by the Birthday event at old age, and can reappear if they're still too old.

This is the most recent thread I have seen on mech serum, so I am necroing this. My question: If a pawn has a prosthetic leg, no other wounds and I administer mech serum, will the missing leg regenerate? Or must I first remove the prosthetic leg?

remove it first. The prosthetic shouldn't count as an injury, therefore it will not heal it.

I could be wrong, but better safe than sorry.

Don't know if this was a bug and/or if it's been fixed, but even minor levels of malnutrition count as something a healer mech serum will fix, so make sure to feed your colonist before using it, otherwise you might waste it on fixing hunger instead of regenerating their shattered spine ;p

@brown29knight thank you. I can confirm you are correct :/

@Radiosity I will make sure nobody is hungry before I dose them! Thank you kindly!
