Egg Boxes
Whats the point in having the Egg Boxes, Chickens etc don't lay Eggs in them and Haulers don't take Eggs to them!?

egg-laying animals usually lay eggs in the box, the box may be blocked by something or you accidentally disallowed them to lay eggs in the box

They should be laying in them, and the point is that it doesnt flag a hauling job until the box is full saving your hauling pawns time.

Is your box/animals in a pen?

The box is in a Barn which is part of a pen with an Animal Door/Curtain but the Chickens don't lay the Eggs in the Box, the box has access on 3 sides, they lay them on the ground outside, where they get damaged before the Haulers pick them up and put them in a Stockpile Zone to hatch (fert.) or be cooked (non fert.)

I know they lay eggs, but they don't lay them in the box in my game.

If the pen is large they might not find the box. What I typically do is to place the boxes near the sleeping area. That way they are close to the boxes when they wake up. Also if you have a large pen you need several boxes in different locations.
