Understanding Wall/single refrigerators
Firstly, I don't know the difference between wall and single refrigerator. Secondly, I installed a few in dining room and edited the allowed storage on each, based on my food restrictions. I have a category of seafood (grilled fish, escargot, boiled fish, etc), Fine Meals ( Fine, Carnivore fine), Lavish ( includes the 3 lavish meals), and simple. I change the meal assignments twice daily, ensuring they have at least one fine or lavish a day.
But my Lavish fridge for example, has only Veggie Lavish, and no carnivore. Each fridge has specific storage capabilities but pawns won't mix them. Is there a way around this so my seafood fridge will have the different seafood meals instead of just being filled with grilled fish?

The wall fridges from that mod count as walls, colonists can't walk over them and they can be used to separate a kitchen from a dining room for example while allowing the cook to place the meals in the fridge from in the kitchen while pawns in the dining room can take them out.

You can only have one item per tile (without other specific mods) and there is no good way to control the exact items that go into a multi tile stockpile. So to that end you want to use the single fridges and make one for vege lavish and one for carni lavish for example. Trying to use a double or quad fridge and have 2 or 4 different items in it just doesn't work long term.

I didn't find this to be true. They did walk through them. And to test your theory further, I placed a few in line between my laboratory and dining room, but when clicking on dining table, the room info says laboratory

Are you sure they are wall fridges and not regular ones?

Ah ha. I'll have to double check. That makes sense. I started this thread by admitting I didn't know the difference but this clears it up, thanks
