Right, that's what he's doing, is playing how he wants to play it, and asking about mods to be able to do that.
Having said that, I do a similar thing where I have mods that give me steel in almost anyway possible. The pawns still work for it or it is still something that has to be acquired in some way with some effort, but the colony has much more steel available to it.
