Looking for a nice Defensible mountain area without caves

I have been looking around for a nice area with a bottleneck to defend my base really well, but all the "Best Seeds" I have looked up online are either out of date or don't match up with what is shown. I do have some mods installed such as the one for viewing areas before settling and for geography. Can someone help me find one?

There must be a more up to date one by now. 1.3 has been out for some time. It's very common for people to go looking for those ideal mountain area cheap natural fortresses with convenient mining to get a good start. It all goes wrong when you mine through a wall and it turns out to lead outside and it's not the huge impenetrable mountain it seemed. Maybe you just need the right search terms. Somebody here will probably try several and get back to you.

There's no seed I can't think of it, even because I have noticed that if you type the same seed when creating a new colony, but you have the game set on a different language everytime, the world map is totally different. I could give you mine, i found a nice spot, but yeah you should change your game language to mine, start the new colony, save, go back to main menu, change the language back :P

Oooor, another really simple solution which I found in the last days is a mod called "Map Reroll". Once you have selected a spot for you colony in the world map and started the game, pause and click on the 2 dices on the top right corner of your screen.
I might take a few tries, but then you'll find for sure a good map that suits for you.

I know this is not a cool seed or anything but I got tired of trying to find a super cool or interesting seed a while back and started looking at mods to make it easier to get the map I wanted.

This mod has proven really good at helping me play on the maps I want to play on. Currently doing a playthrough on a mountain island. I have done mountain bases with nice bottlenecks and such as well using this mod.

Sometimes it's just not quite what you were looking for when you startup the map so this allows you to reroll the map and preview dozens and dozens of map before settling in the one you really want.

Tons of options in here to choose from. You might like Cliffs or Canyon. It took me awhile to find a canyon that didn't also have caves, but they do exist.
