Friendly Fire range
Hey all,

The last time I read something about friendly fire, all I knew was that if the ranged unit was directly behind a melee unit, there would be no friendly fire.

However, reading the wiki, friendly fire only happens if the melee is up to 5 spaces away?

Did I misunderstand how friendly fire work? Or did they really change it so that it happens even less now?

I think even the ingame learning helper said something like "2 spaces away" and some long time ago they did change the misfire radius, so you couldn't hit yourself or closer up targets with it anymore. So the change was a long long time ago then.

Thanks for the video.

However there is one part of the video which I don't understand.

3:56 - Turrets, Barricades, & Other Furniture

"Turrets, barricades, and other furniture will not intercept shots in the friendly fire range. Shots can land on and damage these objects while inside the friendly fire range however."

What does this mean? Furniture won't intercept shots, but shots can still hit them? This sounds like a contradiction.

Just from the sentence it sounds like: it won't roll to make shots not fly past them, but if shots do not hit their targets for another reason, they might get damaged.

I see it pretty much as glass zebra said, if they get hit they get hit but won't actively try to block.

Sorry I still struggle with that sentence structure.

Is it just their way of saying furniture won't block your shots, but if you miss you will hit them?

So friendly fire won't hit your pawns, but it will hit furniture?
