Rationing of your Colony's Food
So, as the title says, is there any automatic way to ration the amount of food your colonists eat? By automatic, I mean the same way the player can pick outfits, or better yet, drugs for their colonists, the player can choose how often and how much the colonists consume.
As a huge fan of the game, I have run a few successful colonies, but, as is the way you die in Rimworld, I eventually made a mistake with my most recent colony and, despite having an advanced and large colony, have nearly run out of food. I'll have more hunted animals and potatoes in a few days...but I need to survive a few days and with my entire colony eating as much as they can, the dwindling food supplies won't do.
Let me know if you have any ideas to ration the food or if you think this should be a feature.
Thank you for the friendly discussion in advance :D

If you need to do it for more than a few days, set up allowable zones to exclude the freezer/wherever food and corpses are kept. If it's not all already cooked, make another zone for your cook so he can keep cooking. For half rations, every other day allow everybody to get a meal, manually order the ones who didn't do it automatically (although they should beeline for it pretty darn quickly), and then change back to the disallowed zone. They can go quite a while this way, that 1st level of starvation is relatively painless and easy to get rid of. I've read that you can go down to 1/3 and even 1/4 rations, I haven't had to yet.
