Vampire genes in biotech?
Vampires are hinted at in the dlc preview update they posted, with the whole immortals genes and blood drinker thing. Gonna be interesting to see this in vanilla rimworld for sure if its actually what they were hinting at. Not alot of info was given for genes, so I'm interested to see what we can do with them.

There are a couple good screenshots of vampire gameplay mechanics on the DLC store page. It looks like we can harvest bloodpacks for food, and coffins can be linked up to various technology probably to infuse the vampire inside with extra power. How they interact with the gene mechanics will be interesting to see.

You all have fantastic imagination. 😂 This expansion seems completely brimming to overflowing wirh new features. Even more excited for this than I was even Ideology.

Edit Has a new ending been announced?

Would be good if they would make vampires like Jecrell made. (Short: based on The Masquerade).
But would be hard to balance those vampires. Jecs mod not just buggy, but op as hell.

Um. Cyber Vampire with full limb replacements and a mechanoid controlling brain implant who has a cellar full of slaves there exclusively for blood harvesting?

Yes, please.

Vampires are honestly a ♥♥♥♥ concept imho but to each their own I suppose.

I'll be certain to wipe out any vampire factions in the game. I can live with pirates, cannibals and the likes but vampires? That's where I draw the line!

I like space vampire, life force was a great movie, hope there be a mod that add clown gene for a laugh

Considering the issues the vampire mod has, I sincerely hope he is putting a kind of vampire in, it's something no one has implemented right since the OG vampire mod by Jecrell

Personally, I'm not fond of Jecrell's version either. WoD vampire powers aren't what I'm looking for in Rimworld - I just want sun-shunning blood-drinker who's noticeably (but not hugely) stronger than the average pawn.

The real question is with blood packs being needed by vampires, can normal people use them as well to off set blood loss?

It opens up the possibility of a "transfusion" medicine option, at the least.

I'm like WoD Vampires because I was a big fan of the tabletop rpg, back in my teenage. But as I'm said before, those vampires are too op in this game.
My next hope, T designed some unique futuristic space vampires. (Maybe that guy on the new background is not a FR thiefling, but it's a vampire?)
