Rhino with a Carcinoma??
Hey so I just recently bought Rimworld, and I am playing my second (lasting) game. I have been trying to tame a rhinoceros, but it attacked my colonists. So, I had a colonist and a turret down it, and decided that I wanted to save it to try and tame it again. When I looked at its health, I saw it had a carcinoma in its brain, and I set a bill to have it removed. BUT when I try to make my colonist prioritize the removal of the carcinoma, it says I don't have the required materials. I have 12 regular medicine, which is more than enough to complete the procedure, and they are at level 11 of the medical skill which is also more than required. Do I need to tame the rhino before I do the procedure? Or can I just not perform it on animals?

Not sure if you need to tame it first but you do need to goto its health tab and allow the use of normal or glitterworld medicine to treat carcinoma.

This, because animals default to herbal meds and you need regular meds.

Surgeries require at least normal medicine, if the patient (either animal or colonist) has no afforded medicine usage, then it's impossible to do the surgery.
The only exception is maybe the organ harvesting, If my memories are right, that only needs herbal medicine.
