Not possible, the dev has no control over it. You can try to ask Valve to allow manual workshop downloads, but that's never going to happen and we all know it. The people who want to share their mods elsewhere will upload them to other locations, like the ludeon forums.

if you want mods without Steam workshop, then you can check the Ludeon forums or other authorized mod websites, and install manually.

I meant mods that arent anywere else e.e, and if thats an actual thing ofc, made this post because the though went trough my head that there may be some mods unnavaliable anywere else...

There are mods that are available only on the workshop, and there are mods that are available only on the ludeon forums. It's up to the mod authors themselves to decide where they want to upload their work and who gets access to it.

Make a thread and ask nicely if someone would mind downloading the mods you're after and renaming/archiving/uploading them for you. It's a friendly community for the most part and people are generally willing to help out.

I always copy Workshop files locally and unsub, but you need the game on Steam to do that, so... yeah. Give it a try.

If so, why the game is set to not allow public downloads?
Astasia Nov 15, 2018 @ 8:20pm
What do you mean "public downloads?" Show me an example of a game on steam with public downloads.
diegoweiller Nov 15, 2018 @ 8:23pm
Rimworld blocks public downloads, you can't download from workshop unless you own Rimworld on Steam.
Astasia Nov 15, 2018 @ 8:31pm
Is that not how every other game works? Anyway it's moot. You can't buy RimWorld on GOG, the only other places to buy the game are the developer's website and humble, where you are given a Steam key in both cases. So would you like to revise your original statement?

gog was an example.... And no, most games dont need to be owned IN steam for you to be able to download workshop content Torchlight II is a good example.

I'm so confused lmao.

Are you a really garbage pirate or what? Anywhere you can legitimately grab the game, you have access to it on steam. And manual downloads from the ludeon site really aren't hard. If both of those don't work for you then something about your situation is suspicious.

wait do i have acces to it on steam O.o??

If you bought it from ludeon.com then yes you can have the game added to your Steam account as well. There is a thread on the forums with a link to get the process started. Depending on when you bought the game it was possibly in your email confirmation from buying the game.
