Hey, what cheat mod i forgot to install to make the game playable ?
like in the title, it's a simple question, cause it seem i forgot to add more cheat mod to play, since the game litearly instant kill my whole colony by freaking dropping 20 ennemy INSIDE MY WHOLE BASE, literaly got 7 of my 10 colonist that was inside doing work that instant died from a single melee hit each (while at least 6 member of my colony have full armor and have competence like nimble and tough), and IM STILL AT THE THIRD EASIEST DIFFICULTY, so seriously, what the mods i need to instant to make my colonist be god mode and be immune to melee since it's apparently something im FORCED to have if i don't want to just instant lose the game at any random moment.

so yea, guess it was useless, some here accept that yes, game have issue, but many are very stupid and can't read more than "game have issue" and rage about "no my fav game is perfect on every way" and saying i cheated ressource to get bigger difficulty while i keep mentioning i got those trash middle of structure trough roof raid BEFORE even cheating any ressource

So when you cheat in a bunch of items it makes the game harder. Maybe stop doing that.

Dev mode. There is a setting in vanilla dev mode that makes your pawns immortal, gives you infinite power, disables mental breaks, allows you to spawn things in, etc.

No, I won't tell you how to get to it.

there are mods that remove drop pod raids

there's quite a bit of info available here as well as youtube on how to defend the colony (drop pod or otherwise) them if you are willing to learn.

or dev mode as mentioned. its your game, play how you want.

Didnt cheat in anything, played like normal the whole time
also i know about dev mod, the post is not an actual question on how to cheat but more a complain about the game issue about random "here, you die cause i said so, restart from beggining for the 7th time" and about essential mods to make the game stop being a ♥♥♥♥.

I litearly got 2 save where the game started with ALL my starting colonists having plague, and since i didnt got any medical room, and no room at all, they obviously died whitout even having time to build a single wall.

Also i don't want to remove drop pod cause it whould reduce my chance to gain any of that aleardy way too limited steel.

♥♥♥♥ happens all the time in this game and that's why we all love and hate it sometimes, seems you're not enough "rimworlded". I'm not judging.

if being "rimworlded" mean being someone that have the habit of game programed to be a massif ♥♥♥♥ every second of the game, i am "rimworlded" like hell, with the number of today games that are just unplayable thx to devs thinking "my bot is not hard enough, let give it access to devs cheat like god mode, gonna be fun"

The game doesn't randomly throw raiders at you, it sends them based (primarily) on your colony wealth and the number of colonists you have. If you're getting 20 drop pod raiders on the third-lowest difficulty with 10 colonists, you're doing something wrong. What's your settlement look like?

The third-easiest difficulty is "Adventure Story," which is the setting I most often use because I like some breathing space to explore weird ideas and odd tech-locked societies as well as weird ideoligions. Even when playing vanilla, I've never gotten a raid like that. Hell, I've never gotten a drop pod raid, period, when playing vanilla. I think it's mostly because I don't keep cash/valuables on hand for long.

Raids usually scale with colony wealth. Is your colony like a dragon sitting on a horde of gold? Ya gotta get rid of some of that stuff, bro. Pack it up and do some caravanning to offload some wealth. Exchange it for stuff like better weapons and armor. Or just more food that you can preserve. Whatever. This truly isn't a game about hoarding wealth (which is one reason why I like it so much), and sometimes it WILL punish you for doing so.

In addition, the game does have a "losing is fun" mentality, overall. It's billed as a story generator, not as just a colony sim. It basically says so in some of the game-loading flavor text. Something about it not being a skill test and that a lost colony is a dramatic story, not a failure. If that sort of thing isn't what you want, then maybe the game just isn't for you. I'm sure there are other colony sims out there that you won't have to mod to hell and back in order to get what you want.

After reading your obviously overexaggerated and completely untrue steam review of the game I'll cease from answering anything in your post here as it will lead to nowhere.

there are people playing on max difficulty with 500% event scale on naked brutality, so you might be doing something wrong if you can't play on 3rd

A 20 thrasher/slasher center drop raid on adventure story basically requires a colony of 10 to be at a million wealth or higher (wealth capped). I don't see how you make it to a million wealth while "playing like normal" if your colony is not capable of handling a few enemies with low quality melee weapons. It sounds to me like you only recruited wimps and geared them all in low quality flak and cheated in a bunch of gold or something then got surprised when the game's wealth based difficulty scaling dropped an easy threat on you.
