Steam Deck Controls for RimWorld
Just received my steam deck two days ago and have been attempting to play around with RimWorld. The problem I'm running into is I haven't yet figured out how to assign an individual task to a specific pawn, like expediting construction or directly fighting with a specific raider.

At this point I'm about mood -5. Any suggestions?

Like using a mouse. Figure out which buttons are set up for right-click and left-click (triggers, I think). Make the appropriate clicks to perform those tasks.

Guess I need to go back on my PC and see how it worked there.

I'm a PC / keyboard person by a long shot. Even the xbox controllers were a challenge. So the console concept will take some time for me to figure out programming key bindings that don't scramble my thinking. Or I'm just far to OCD. Whichever comes first.

It's a context menu that comes up with rclick, which should be bound to ltrigger iirc, when you have a pawn selected.

Don't worry about programming key bindings - the default controller setting works just fine as a mouse, and there probably aren't enough buttons to program as many key bindings like you had on a keyboard. Use right click to pull up action options, left click to select, or use left click to select actions (or the controller button indicated on the action) and left click again to apply them. It might feel a little putzy at first, but you should get used to it.
