any way to increase ram/storage for game file
ive noticed with one my mods runtime that im near 1600mb and it keeps flickering constantly driving me off the wall and i tried to sell almost all my ppl/animals doesnt effect to much or clean all filth etc and wondering to counter it is there any way to increase storage for the game/save file or am i sorta just ♥♥♥♥♥♥

What makes you think flickering has anything to do with storage?

well ik in past once a game file has been alive long builds up usage and i think theres a preset cap of 2gb and im at 1700 atm and i dont see a way to increase this or any way to try to debug any errors might have

So are you worried about Ram or storage, cus those are two separate things.

This game uses as much Ram as it needs until it's all used up, it doesn't cap at 2gb.

.NET VM usage so space got 32gb ram and far enough space but the game is capped on space consumption allowed by default and want to give it more some how

but im starting to think my files are corrupted to be flickering so much i removed alot of npcs animals items mods etc nothing fixes it

The game has a 16 exabyte memory limit (16 billion gigabytes), there is no way to increase it. Generally the game never needs to use more than 1-2gb even with a lot of mods. Memory is not your issue.

Assuming that by "one of my mods runtime" you mean you're using the mod runtimegc, that's probably a big contender for what's causing the issue. It's been known to cause issues. Storage, on disk or in RAM, isn't the issue. Is there anything in the error log? Do you still have the issue in a new save?

i got that mod after the flicker to try to fix it XD

i think i temp fixed it i attacked a town and killed all lost 1 soldier and settled the claimed area took all then abandoned it and one of those things so far seem to have fixed this issue been having for a week so idek wtfh error bug it was from or why this so far fixed it

Turn dev mode on, turn on pop up when error occurs
Find the error popping up at time of flickers

Most common is custom races not being able to reference object or job track related references

Also try clearing all corpses in stockpile or soon to be stockpile

ya i did the dev mode nothing readable but ya potentially the diff races since had clay soldiers but i only increased my number and its still fixed now reallllly odd and the stock piles of skeleton bodys etc was first thing i cleared before i did anything else cuz i thought was a render issue so deleted bodys and any items/ppl could at first
