Deep drilling is spawning infestations frequently?

I got 3-5 deep drills running at the moment, and I seem to get an infestation every season or two. Is anyone else experiencing the same frequency, or is it just bad RNG? I don't mind these infestations as they're relatively small, only around 10 bugs, while I have 30 people, so I blow them away easily.

That sounds about right. I don't usually run more than 3 deep drills at a time due to excessive power costs, let alone miners to work them (my colonies rarely grow to more than 10 or so).
I will get around 2-3 drilling too deep infestation events per year on Cassandra savage. These usually produce about 6 or 7 critters each time and my turrets take care of them quickly.
