Work Priorities being ignored
Anyone else having problems with work priorities? I've got a pawn who is my colony's cook, but she's been ignoring that duty and letting people go hungry in favor of running across the map trying to tame animals. Her Cook is set to 2 and Handling to 4, not to mention that even without manual priorities Cook is higher-ranked than Handling.

The tasks are definitely not suspended or paused, there is raw food in the fridge, nobody else is using the stove, and there is power for the stove to work. Even so, she won't do it unless manually told to. I've since added other cooks, but they're in the habit of ignoring the tasks set for them too. My crafter tends to keep hitting the quarry, my miner keeps farming, it's a madhouse without any discernable pattern.

Did you try to set one dedicated cook ? Set one pawn only to cooking prio 1, and anything else off. (just for testing if he starts cooking then)

Yeah, if they've got only one job, they'll do it, but assigning more at any priority level causes them to do things seemingly at random. Like cleaning up dirt (always 3) instead of their priority 1 job.

Any mods ?

Wait, I just re-established her normal task priorities after that test and now she's behaving properly...

Is the game not properly loading priorities from save files?

Dont know, never had this. But good it works now ^^

Sorta. If this happens next time I load the game I'd have to re-do the priorities for all my pawns. That's a lot of potential repetition, here. :(

yep, having serious issues with the priority system lately... it worked fine in B18, but now, no more

Hey Zorlond did you ever fix this? I'm having this issue now. All my pawns will do is hunt basically despite having other jobs. If I remove hunting they will idle instead of working. Despite fields being in season they won't plant. Despite there being no meals and plenty of ingredients they won't cook. The list goes on. They will also die before cleaning even if it's their only job.

Only fix I found was to stop using Manual Priorities entirely. Otherwise every time I loaded the game the pawns would do things completely at random.

I've done that, but there's still a lot of issues. It's a lot better, granted, but still really kinda ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ lol.
