I have suspected for like a couple years or so based on Ludeon hiring notices that they have been planning or working on a multiplayer update. My guess is that is what mirage is, and it will be part of the 1.4 update not the DLC. I also guessed 1.3 would have multiplayer though, and it obviously did not, and there's a good chance I'm wrong again, but I do believe it is something that is coming still.
Some of the other Autobots don't trust Mirage. He feels the war, even after all these millions of years, is beneath him. War is not, after all, how civilized, erudite beings conduct themselves. He often questions the Autobots' violent means, and not-so-secretly hopes they and the Decepticons can get along. Because of this, he has been labelled by a few others as a Decepticon sympathizer. Still, he sided with the Autobots for a reason, and he is there for the Autobots when they need him.
Although the details vary by continuity, Mirage has the ability to create illusions which typically either render him invisible or make him appear to be somewhere he isn't. In some universes, he can combine with his fellow Autobots to form Optimus Maximus or Betatron.
^-- This.
Based upon the above and their subscription to Steam's multiplayer API/dev tools/suite. Though, that could have been done for their other project, but I would have thought they would have done that during the planning stages. Then again, I don't know when they actually started work on that other project.
i rarely even look at the world map and once i settle into a place i am comfortable with i rarely see anything from other regions like creatures or distant factions because the world rarely changes.
-world changes (more biomes to wouldnt be to bad either) and possible new faction types
-world events for example: stuff like tile is hit with a meteor shower making the tile hit covered in crashed rocks and the tiles next to it and itself have volcanic ash for a few days with higher temperature, higher possibility of rare ores and alien creatures (as well as raids) inside those zones.
- minor events expansion to spice up local stuff such as long lost relative coming to meet their family (possible ambush) or some lost drone ship littering the area with paper (trash) due to its old AD campaign programming, etc, lots of creative stuff out there!
-more creatures, especially alien in nature and dont specifically need to come from the current planet they can be infesting a crashed ship and dropped in as a world event (see above)
- (this would be to complex i guess but hey i'll throw it out there) genetic engineering creatures, aka mutations, genesplicing new creatures as an endgame possibility and might attract... "official response teams" (im sure WH40k fans know this hint ;) ) but again this would likely be to complex as a feature
- high tech luxuries related to world events or world changes, stuff like crashed cruiser ships loot, meeting up with smugglers for stuff you cannot create only find (stuff drones, higher tech benches for new gear options, etc) would be fun ways to incentive exploring the world while also adding in new stuff to aim for that cant just be simply crafted
(regarding drones, i know the robot mod exists but if this was done officially this would actually be beneficial for the mod since they could use this addition to expand their own mod if they so chose)
