Mod to make Food, Rec, Sleep, etc.... needed drain slower?
Love the game, 55 hours in 2 weeks, but constantly worrying about all the pawns needs, is fun at times, but also take away from my favorite part, the building and combat/quests.

I wanna keep all those thing but just make the drain slower so I can focus more on building, which increases my wealth, which adds more combat and quests and such right?

Any mods to make your "Needs" drain at half the rate?

The game offers you variety of upgrades to pawns on different stats. I would highly suggest turning them into robot parts before changing the game balance completely.

So later in the game it gets easier to manage then?
Right now it seems all the wanna do is eat & complain.

There are settings in the scenario editor to reduce the drain on some/all of those.

There are bionics that make colonists eat much less or not need sleep anymore, and there are upgrades to make them sleep much faster so they are working more during the day. You shouldn't really need to manage these things though, colonists do them automatically, and if you have more colonists and on different shifts then you don't notice any downtime.

Yep. And honestly, if you mod in a bunch of bionic stomachs and circadian adjusters etc so your pawns rarely get tired or hungry, you'll make your colony so rich inadvertently that you'll quickly get killed by raids and other event threats, since they're largely based on wealth (which includes how valuable each pawn is).

One of the most important skills in RimWorld is learning to not take on more than you can handle right away.. This means building small bases instead of huge fancy rooms, until you have gotten everybody happy and well equipped so you can take on the bigger threats that show up as you get richer and more successful. Shortcutting is a good way to frustrate yourself, tbh.

If you want to ease your way into the game a little, pick up prepare Carefully mod, and/or Character Editor mod. Both do similar stuff but Char Editor also allows you to instantly heal or feed pawns or give them armor and weapons on the fly, etc. (Just don't tweak their armor and weapons while they're actively in combat, that tends to crash the game since it's calculating stuff based on gear and changing the numbers makes things choke up.. But feel free to "full heal" your pawns in a fight with char editor, at will!)

They don't eat that much though. Maybe two or three meals per day? It is maybe an issue the first few days. After that you'll have your first harvest in and from then on you just have a dedicated cook who keeps the meals at a desired level. I don't remember if the bulk cooking thing is a mod or vanilla but if it is a mod (which I think it is) I recommend getting that. Being able to cook four meals at the same time is awesome and usually means you have enough meals at all times. Provided you have enough food and a pawn that properly prioritizes cooking.
