unimpressive celebrations
it is statistically impossible how often my celebrations hit unimpressive status even though they are at 100% quality. It happens 7/8 times.

Do you have some actual data? I'm curious if there is a hidden variable that might be having some effect.

not really, its just beyond strange and generally frustrating

That isn't even remotely close to statistical impossibility.

lol can I see yours?
Where's your rigorously-recorded data from a statistically-significant data set?

100% quality, is just that - quality. The game does show the chances of how a celebration goes. You were just unlucky.

This post is not so different from every post everywhere on the Internet complaining about probability. It's just RNG.

I've run into this probel a few times, despite only having celebrations once a year, in the fanciest of places.

Should just blow up the colony.

Have you considered that your pawns might just be terrible at parties? I suggest removing organs until they learn to party harder.

But yeah, there's a 20% chance of getting a negative outcome on most rituals. That makes multiple failures in a row very reasonable, if unlikely. ♥♥♥♥ happens.

RNG is what it is. Pray to Randy more.

It may depend on the type of celebration, too? Some of them require a leader/etc, and if the leader pawn has shoddy social that could maybe play a factor?

But yeah, bad RNG happens. I'd make a save right before trying a celebration and reload a couple times to see if it's always the same. You ought to get a different result after a couple tries, all other things being identical.

Stuff like that merely affects the quality of the ritual, which as stated was 100%. It can't go higher than that.

social skill of the leader could be a big part in that
reading is hard.
