365 days a year
i love this game. oonly thing i miss from the old days is there was 12 months whit real names and not the mixed 2 monthsname a year we got now and they lasted 30 days. surviving a year felt awzome. when you finaly started to move into spring and you knew you surviveed the long winter months .

is it possible.. or does it exist a mod that brings that back? i just miss the old way of counting days

Let's keep alien worlds alien, please. It doesn't feel so alien if everything about it is just a clone of Earth.

Ain't no secret.

Also, I hope you are not planning on moving to Mars. The calendar there will drive you insane.

That was a never a thing. The earliest versions of RimWorld, back when the "world map" was a flat rectangle, used 15 day seasons, Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter. That couldn't work when the globe was added since the southern hemisphere has inverted seasons, so those 4 seasons were renamed to quadrums, Aprimay, Jugust, Septober and Decembary. Number of days in a year didn't change, it was purely a cosmetic change so you didn't have "hot winters" south of the equator, now you have hot Decembarys.

but if you have 30 days of spring and 30 days of summer and 30 days of autumn, then you just get more time to grow and harvest (up to 90 days), to help you survive 30 days of winter.

I for one think your way sounds great. Try not to let snobby weebs spoil your day!

It doesn't sound great because the game would take way too long to get through a year.

Stop telling someone their idea is good just so their feelings don't get hurt.
