Anyway to stop pawns feeding prisoners?
Even though I have set food restrictions on all prisoners to "nothing" and giving them a way to feed themself(paste dispenser), my warden still keeps giving them lavish/fine meals and it's pissing me off.

Is there anyway to disable wardens from delivering food or any mods available?

There is a mod called work tab iirc, that allows you to disable subjobs such as the warden's deliver food to prisoners task. Your doctors might still deliver fine meals to the prisoners but that means the prisoner is in need of medical care and you kinda want those prisoners to stay in their bed not go on a sad wander.

Set them to paste.
Raymond Aug 17, 2019 @ 4:37pm
make sure they are allowed to eat paste otherwise the warden will still bring them food when they try to recruit the prisoners.

I have already tried that multiple times, doesn't work. The warden will still bring food to the prisoners.

Edit: I'm also not trying to reqruit them, since I have the prison labor mod installed.

The mod may be your problem? I've never had this issue. I usually keep my slavestock alive by assigning one prisoner to get food so they all end up stealing food every now and again and surviving til the slavers arrive.

I doubt it's the mod since it doesn't interact with what or how the prisoners eat or warden behavior for that matter other than making the warden on occasion stand next to prisoners. I've also seen plenty of post with the same problem but who were running vanilla.

The problem can caused by mod conflict from multiple mods overlapping. Can you show us the mod list?

Mod list:

HugsLib
JecsTools
Humanoird Alien Races 2.0
Story Framework
[XND] Turret Extensions
EdB Prepare Carefully
[KV] Trading Spot - 1.0
Map Reroll
Medical Tab
Doors Expanded
Chickens Efficient Light
Realistic Rooms
More Trade Ships
Tilled Soil
Allow Tool
[1.0] RPG Style Inventory
More Map Sizes
Locks
Prison Labor
Prisoner Harvesting
Colony Manager
Custom Mote Maker
Hospitality
Pick Up And Haul
Quarry 1.0
Better Vanilla Masking
No Tremendous sadness with death of prisoner
[O21] Rimhammer 40K

Except for "Prison Labor" none of them interacts with warden behavior. But even if one of my mods screws with the game, there are still people complaining of the same thing who is running vanilla.

If you don't want to treat your prisoners to proper meals, it's more reliable to set your own food restrictions, picking exactly what you want to allow, after clearing out all the possible options just in case. This way no chance of them getting lavish foods.

Just create a new food restriction, "clear all", then select exact what you want them to eat. I usually select raw insect meat, but you can treat your prisoners a bit better.

I have already made my own restrictions, allowing prisoners only to eat nutrient paste. But that is my problem, my warden doesn't follow these restrictions and still try to give them lavish/fine meals.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Exactly what I was looking for, thanks a lot man.

With so many mods installed you are bound to have conflicts. For the benefit of anyone else reading this - the vanilla game does not have any issues with prisoner restrictions.
There are two possible solutions to this problem:

1. Remove some mods.
2. Get another mod to fix the mods (pinned answer).

If the prisoners are resting in bed at all due to medical reasons, your docs will still deliver meals even if the prisoners are capable of walking when awake and going to get their own paste.

Just tried it in vanilla, still the same issue. So proberbly a bug rather than a mod conflict.
And again, still don't have any mods that interact with warden behavior.

I've never had a problem with this, and I don't use any mods. Perhaps what PolecatEZ said about prisoner medical beds is important - I may not have noticed that happening. The warden might be following the rules, but the doctor isn't.
I retract what I have said.
