What happens when a colonist develops an immunity?
One of my favorite colonists just got an infection but developed an immunity to it. Does this mean that the infection won't kill her, or does this just slow down its effects?

It will slowly reverse until it's gone. The colonist is safe from that particular sickness. No more treatments needed.

immunity means you get to keep that colonist till he gets sick again. could be tomorrow, could be 3 quadrams from then. but it will happen again!

but simply put, sickness you've got 2 %s on the given disease. as the disease gets worse, its effects more pronounced. treated or not your colonist also gains immunity to the disease. treatment will make the immunity % climb at a better rate if the treatment is good.

disease hits 100% before immunity, dead colonist

immunity hits 100% before disease, colonist in agonizing pain till the disease counter counts backwards from where ever it was to 0. but it'll live.

exactly what xilo said. if somebody has a disease, keep them in bed unless ABSOLUTELY neccisary. when out of bed, immunity climbs much slower then disease, and even a otherwise healthy colonist can die of the flu. same with infections.

yeah or mods in general that allow you to give better orders, i'd have taken him down like a raider if it meant a chance they'd survive.

You can try to arrest people on mental breaks. There's a chance they'll come quietly and you can doctor them like any other prisoner; there's a chance they'll fight back, and then you'll have to subdue and capture them. So not something you want to do willy-nilly, but if the odds are that they'll die anyway...

yeah it happened to my top melee fighter with a shield belt and a modded 'assaut hammer' and they were doing something so I ended up just letting them wander no sense starting something off. ad the thing was they had an infection or something that needed treatment, and more than a few other things were falling apart at the time, because they missed sleep while I used mortars for something and ended up only needing the mortars and not the rest of them. RimWorld, Fun, and weird!
