Since it is not Hospitality, I do not know what mod could possibly cause this though.
Maybe you should specify which mods you are using? Or give other useful info. So far you only claimed something happened that cannot happen in the normal game, so what do you expect us to do?
Oh, sure, here's my nearly 300+ strong modlist. Go nuts.
Want a list of the mods in that list I currently have deactivated?
I posted this to see if anybody else had issues with the AI eating their food as if it's theirs, not to see if anybody had any useless comments telling me what I just witnessed was a figment of my imagination.
It wasn't a "stealing event" or anything like that, they just ate the survival meals as if they belonged to them.
So, funnily enough, I had the same issue that you did yesterday. Happened after a few of the trade caravan members had mental breaks, making most of the caravan just.... stay there. Most of them left, but two of them were still broken and wandering when the caravan eventually left. After they snapped out of it, having no food, they walked over and ate out of my fridge like they owned it, and then tried to leave. Worth the -100 for capturing one and beating the other down (and then capturing).
So, no, you are not alone, but I am assuming its one of my (our) mods causing it. Unfortunately, this is the first time I've had several dementia-ridden traders come to my base, even back when I did vanilla, so I just thought it was vanilla until others have said otherwise.
You had a couple people proposing possible causes from relatively popular mods, and both of those were rejected. Which, fine, you're not using those mods - no biggie.
But rather than having 50 people go through the same steps, and you saying no 50 times, including the modlist would have at least narrowed down the culprits - which is why it was requested.
Doesn't really feel like you actually wanted help, and I suppose that's fair - as you never actually requested any.
So to answer your question: I don't know.
