is there any way to hold funerals for animals?
I'm playing as animist and the ido say they treat animals like people and yet the thrumbo that died saving the whole colony cant be mourned properly.

Sarcophagi let you put animals in them....what I don't know is if you can have a funeral once an animal corpse is inside. I doubt it, seeing as you can't even have one for a colony slave that was part of the ideology, but I have yet to try with animals.

How do you put a colonists pet in a sarcophagi? I enabled all animal types on one and there was no option to bury?

I assume, perhaps incorrectly, that if I set it to a type of animal corpse and remove that animal type from any stockpile zones that my pawns will bury them in that sarcophugs automatically.
Like I said, I haven't actually done it yet though. I have a megaspider that has been with my colony since the first month of my current game. I'm now on year 14 and he's still alive and on Luciferium due to having gotten really shredded in the early game. My plan when he dies is to try it.

you can bury them in one but the issue is you can't hold a funeral. I have a thrumbo in a marble sarcaficus but like I said cant morn him.

I figured that was the case, I just hadn't tested it with animals yet.

I'm disappointed. But at least I was prepared to be disappointed. *sigh*

There needs to be a mod for this. I couldn't find one but I wish someone would make one.
