End Screen
The ending screen seems a bit rushed. The entire game I have time to stop time and think, appreciate my work, etc. But once you beat the game you get 5 seconds to look over who lasted and then it just scrolls away. Scrolled so quickly I couldn't even read all the words.

I feel it should be paused on the first end screen until you're ready to move forward to the credits. Give me time to appreciate everything that just happened, the names and the stories behind them and how they got there.

And what about the colonists that died and are buried away and visitted? Why don't they show up? They didn't make it on the end screen, even if they were part of my colony? Is there a way to show the first colonists I started with? After so many hours I don't remember my original 3 or who joined when or how. A graph would be nice to see who joined when and for how long, further show their story.

In its current state it feels like "good job champ, start a new game".No rejoice for winning, no picture of a ship flying through space, just... black, names, and credits roll. I dunno, feels very lacking after that many hours were invested.

'winning' the game was only recently (from the development point of veiw), and is not the point of th game.
It was only added because some people requested it.

It's relatively new, yes. And now much more difficult than when it was originally implemented. The point of the game is to survive, yes? Adapt to your circumstances and survive. And I did, all the way up and through the point of building a ship and starting it up. I chose to end that story-line, all those days, and years. The fights, the deaths, the harsh winters... and then it was just over. There was only the names of those who survived... and then it just went away with a generic message.

I feel it could be (or could have been, as 1.0 was just released) better in the ship launch ending. Or any ending. Not just who survived... Who died? When? How long were they with me, were they original people I started with? How did they die? Anything. Let me look back on what I had done.

I like your suggestion. But I can just save screen or record a short video. I don't think I have ever ended a game though. Not in a long time. I'd rather my colonists stay. They seem happy by end game.

I hear where you are coming from, but it would be pretty hard for the game to know which of its many events felt meaningful to you. Do you want a list of every pawn that joined for 2 seconds beofre being banished? A list of every limb that blew off. Every time a pawn almost bled to death or chicken that hatched. How about that fire that spread across half the map but never actually threatened you. Or that time the poison ship landed in a corner so far away you had a year to deal with it.

the game does let you keep playing on with any survivors btw.

That being said I would not at all mind a longer/cooler ship animation sequence, i just think it would be hard to do a meaningful recap of your whole game.

Too bad the game didn't have a simple gallery of plaques or something with summaries of game and colonist statistics for "completed" games. Would have been a nice finishing touch for the feature.

In a perfect world I wouldnt mind some slow motion recaps of big battles, the ability to take cool screenshots with filters like in Xcom2, better charts and graphs to show me the overall progression of certain parts of my coloney, etc.

It would be great if they showed the ship taking off and then you crash land for full meta

It's the journey not the destination.

300 hours and I have yet to actually "win."
