A. It's an online game and hardly anyone is playing.
B. It's an early access game and they've stopped updating.
This game has been in 1.0 for quite a while, and no disrespect to Tynan whatsoever, he's doing great work, but it's the mods that really breathe new life into this game. Mods are still coming by the dozen, and are still being updated even despite many of the former authors of popular mods going missing from the community.
Besides all that, it's true what the others say: September wasn't long ago with regards to development cycles, and 1.3 is in the works.

Daring today, aren't we
It's May now. September was over half a year ago.
Now I am getting scared to be forced to play without my Revian-Dragon Clan. I mean I had 300 hour without using any mods at all. Now I can't live without them. At least for Rimworld.
"If the Russians were never united, the Soviet Union never would have existed!" Kind of ridiculous, I agree. It's kind of like blaming the Romans for World War II. "Rome united Europe. The Holy Roman Empire emulated Rome. That led to the German Empire, which is why you-know-who had a casus belli to claim the Saar Basin, which snowballed into Austria, then Chechoslovakia, and before you know it we have a full-blown world war. TO SAY NOTHING OF STALIN LITERALLY AIMING TO REVIVE THE ROMAN EMPIRE."
