How to deconstruct roof?

Accidentally put a roof over a solar panel. Have dezoned it for roofing but pawns won't desconstruct. Anyone know if there is a way to do this other than rebuilding the panel somewhere else?

Use the no roof zone.

Draft a builder, move him into the room, forbid the doors, undraft, he *should* figure it out :D

Use the remove roof zone. Not the build rood zone. Alsof roofs is at a very low on the priority list

Colonists will work on roof removal after all other construction jobs are done...so halt all other construction jobs or let them finish them before issuing more construction orders.

Simpler is creating a temporary 'Urgent work' zone and allocating the area to that and restricting the colonist to the zone.

None of this worked. The stupid ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ should not of built a roof unless I selected it in the first place. Really annoying bug.

have you used the remove roof tool instead of the remove build roof tool?

Not sure why people say roof building is low priority, my pawns pretty much always prioritise roofs over anything else. Which does actually make sense, given roofs stop things degrading.

used to be low priority in a16 but in a17 it is now high priority
