Pigs & Boars: Are they worth it?
I've heard that pigs and wild boars are the best animals to raise for meat, taking into consideration that they also eat meat which is a way to dispose of raider corpses. Are raising pigs and boars for meat worth it? Are they efficient, or should I find another animal for meat?

They used to be pretty good, a long time ago. They produced a decent amount of meat compared to other animals and could haul, and boars could also fight. They did not excel at any of these things, but they were a good utility animal that could fill many roles acceptably. This is no longer the case.

Pigs are alright for meat if you want to use them, they are far from the best, and they have no other utility. Boars are one of the worst animals in the game for meat and have no other utility anymore.

Here's a chart which I'm assuming is up to date at this point that compares nutrition gained from an animal compared to nutrition consumed. Sort by overall efficiency to get a list of "best" animals to raise for nutrition.

Tortoises are apparently the best currently, and they also eat corpses I believe. Bears are also better than pigs, can haul, fight, and also eat corpses.
