RimWorld
GeForce Now: Solution for launching a game with mods [2021]
Hi, I was tormented by this problem and I found a solution.

A few steps to solve the problem of running RimWorld:

1. Launch the game through the GeforceNow launcher.
2. When the game just starts (switch it to window mode in advance), exit the game by clicking on the cross of the window when it started.
3. At the bottom, select the Steam program, which is still available in GeforceNow, there delete the game as usual.
4. Install it again and the workshop will sync.
5. Start the game and activate the necessary mods.
6. Press restart (the game closes)
7. Reopen the game through GeforceNow and repeat the steps from point 3 (also exit the game, reinstall. Luckily, it's only a couple of minutes with GeForce internet)
8. Ta-daaaam. The game was loaded with mods activated. You can play.

In short, we reinstall the game, activate the mods, then reinstall it again and play with the activated mods

Have a nice day!

UPD: The Council. To make everything work better, create your own ModList or download your own ModList for the collection of mods. So the game will immediately recognize your mods and you will not need to restart a huge number of times.

When I close the game Geforce now itself closes making it impossible to do this.

Which part are you having trouble with? I haven't used GFN since my PC monitor exploded but I might remember enough to help. Hopefully D; No promises, though.

If it's the mod list needing a restart, which closes the session in GFN, you might be able to circumvent needing a restart by using Rimpy and saving the modlist using that. You can also edit the ModsConfig.xml before launching the game, so the mods will be active on launch, but that one is more tedious.
Sadly this is not working now. RIP...
It turned out to be much simpler: look on the Internet how to turn on family access to Steam. Then, when GeforceNow is turned on, the system will stop you and ask you to enter the parent pincode. Then you just enter the pincode and choose the game. To load mods, you need to click on the properties of the game and delete it. Then download again. The game will be loaded with mods. Ready

Hi! New solution. It works for me not only on RimWorld. Even when you need to set special parameters for launching the game through properties.

1. Go to the steam settings, turn on the "Family View" function, set a password and turn off RimWorld from access.

2. When we launch the game via GFN, the game will not start immediately, but just Steam will open.

3. There we click on the Family View icon and enter our code.

4. Then access to RimWorld opens. There we continue and download our mods via deletion/download game.

I don't think this works anymore since the family management system has recently been updated.
