no operation tab?

so a bunch of guys came to my base to help me in a fight and 1 got downed so i rescued him but he was mental breaking and i thought ill shove some psychite tea in his face but thats when i noticed the operations tab is gone?
i have it on my other people but not this guy ive rescued?

Is the guy you've rescued part of your colony? Or a prisoner you've captured? If they're a free Guest, you simply might not have the option to do surgery (etc.) on them.

According to the wiki you should be able to do surgery on guests

Hmm. I guess I'll have to test that at some point later.
Given the nature of some of the operations (like heart removal), I'm surprised that would be a thing. :-)

It is a thing, just you get -rep if you do unecessary procedures n stuff

You can't operate on pawns from other factions, unless they're incapable of movement. So go punch him until he's a heap of flesh on the ground. If he lives, he gets free tea.

Are they part of a quest? Ie. "# of pawns will be put at your disposal"
Can't change their gear wouldn't surprise me if you couldn't operate on them

they were just a friendly faction that randomly showed up to help me with a raid. the rest left after the fight except this 1 downed guy so i rescued him and patched him up but then he berserked so i hit him over the head and put him back in bed and wanted to give him some tea to shut him up but the operations tab just isnt there at all

He's capable of movement; you didn't hit him hard enough. Keep going until he has no legs or a broken back.

hes just died of infection lol

The tab should have come back when the infection was extreme. Technically because you can't move in that state, but also so you have a chance to amputate whatever's killing him.
