Bestowing ceremony just doesn’t happen

I accepted the quest to bestow the title. The shuttle arrives and the bestower gets in position, tells me other click pawn and start it. I do that he walks up for a moment and walks away not betstowed. It just doesn’t wanna do it. I thought at first it was cause the pawn may have been android and so I restarted as humans. still doesn’t work

Sometimes I'll set a pawn to go do their ceremony, but they'll get distracted with other stuff (usually scheduled Recreation) before getting the ceremony done.
If you draft them, get them near the NPC, undraft and then do the Bestowing, does it work?

No nothing does


however I restarted the game, whole closed to desktop. And when it loaded it up I was able to do it.

Removed a few mods particular the “do something for idle” and it still does it but the work around still worked but I’m a countess so no more titles to worry about

Just in case anyone finds this. My problem was that a party was in progress when I tried to start the ceremony.
Drafting all my pawns and then undrafting them to stop the party before starting the ceremony fixed the issue.
