Late game goals?
Looking for late game goal ideas, aside from leaving the planet obviously. Everyone has recon armor+ (anyone not specifically for combat uses recon because theres no movement penalty, combat people have better armor) and most have masterwork or legendary weapons. My base is nearly unraidable and I have about 200 luceferium. Any ideas for an end goal?

Make an awful grand uranium sculpture and put it in your prison room :))

Take out bases, build a second colony maybe

For me it's to actually reach late game :p
But to be fair, I play tribals (one tribal colonist start) and I don't use cheesy killboxes or trap tunnels

And by the time I reach late game, I get bored and start a different playthrough :p

punch a Shoggoth in the face https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2246088032
Edit: Disregard that - it may require a new playthrough.

Survive.

Keep surviving.

Moar surviving.

ALL TEH SURVIVING!

And, then the playthrough is over because of a catastrophic event or I want to start a new playthrough. That's it. That's my typical "long term goals" gameplay. (I nearly never try to "Win" via Spaceship victory.)

A good suggestion for my next game though, thank you

My biggest issue with the current playthrough is that raids are easy, insects are easy, no weather effects really impact my health at all.

It can be added if you have a mod that handles adding new factions to ongoing games.

Yeah, I saw that in the description. Edited my comment to suggest that it wouldn't just plug-and-play with their existing colony, and figured if OP took an interest they'll check the description for themself. :-)

I had thought about mentioning it, but decided to keep my comment simple rather than muddying the waters with explanation for something they might not even have been interested in.

Increase difficulty :)

Rat army. Get your animal tamer, tame several rats, and watch the army grow. Once your troops are set, send them out against raiders. Watching a hundred confused pirates getting mowed down by a horde of rodents is a thing of beauty. Only issue is that you'll need a good amount of food, but that's what enemies are for.

You can increase the difficulty in settings. If you're already on Losing is fun, you can pick custom, set Losing is fun as a preset, and increase the threat scale more.
