I found this but it was during a search for "remove shields" so I can`t say for how good it is. I also don`t think it fully answers your question but I`d suggest looking it up in the workshop search bar in a handful of ways If noone can give a full anwser.
if its just about counter shields then smoke granades/launchers are the best choice. just provide a smoke screen to approach, kite the mechs out of it, with with them and them use the smokescreen to safely destroy the hive.
I hate mechs so I want to deal with them easier without removing mech events completely. If I could at least remove mortar-shield I could fire mortars and kill mechs without losing pawns.
I used no shield mod which rendered shield belts useless (0 hp) but for other shields mod didn't do anything.
Better than nothing. Thanks mate.
