Can't figure out how to get rid of muscle parasite.

One of my units has had muscle parasite forever. I use healroot daily. There's no way to keep her in a medical bed because it says she's not injured. So she goes about her daily tasks anyway. Does it take a certain amount of treatments?

The self tending is about 7.9.

yeah it takes a pretty long time. expect it to take around a full season to treat.

According to the wiki, "This disease will be cured when the treatments performed on it reach a cumulative quality of 300%, thus it is important to maximize the Medical Tend Quality of the Doctor performing the tending."

You're shooting yourself on two fronts by self-tending, which automatically has a 50% tend quality, and by using healroot, which only has a 60% tend quality.

With a self-tending of 7.9% it'll take 300 / 7.9 = 37.97 treatments to get rid of muscle parasites. That's 80 in-game days (since muscle parasites can be treated every two days).

To get rid of it quickly you want a good doctor and good medicine. Any tending that can achieve 100% will get rid of the condition in three treatments over six days. Herbal medicine is capped at 70% max tend quality, so regardless of doctor skill herbal medicine will require at minimum 300 / 70 = 4.29 treatments over 10 days.

OK thanks. It took awhile, but I was able to do it. The one who had the disease was the best in the group at medicine. So 70% efficiency at self tending was better than so many times tending by somebody else. Then a veterinarian showed up who was a really good doctor. So it helped.
