(steamlibrarypath)\steamapps\common\RimWorld\Mods\(modname)\about
Or this:
(steamlibrarypath)\steamapps\common\RimWorld\Mods\(modname)\(modname)\about
If the latter then you have made the easiest mistake with manual modding and nested the mod inside another folder, just move the mod and its contents one level up in the path.
Otherwise make sure it is a standard folder and not any form of compressed folder.
It's the second one example. However, I'm confused by this. Can you please make this easier for me to understand please. I am used to modding FO4 and Skyrim/SE. This is a whole new way for me to understand on how to mod.
Go to:
(steamlibrarypath)\steamapps\common\RimWorld\Mods\(modname)
And then select the folder in there and press CTRL+X and then got to:
(steamlibrarypath)\steamapps\common\RimWorld\Mods
And paste (CTRL+V).
That should move the mod on folder up and begin working.
I followed this, I was able to get a mod to be seen in the mod manager mod. It still has a yellow !. Does this mean that the works?
To me it is a bit confusing. I know once In get a hold of modding this game, Ill rejoice :)
Hover your mouse over the "yellow !" I assume it's saying that the mod you downloaded dosn't work for your version of the game. Most unupdated mods will not run with 1.3
That's the thing it was made for the latest update.
Do you have a link to the mod in question?
It's one of the mods I've been trying to work with. From Nexus https://www.nexusmods.com/rimworld/mods/371
And from the Lovers https://www.loverslab.com/files/file/7257-rimjobworld/
