And yeah, it's really hard to get masterwork-level stuff. I've got a skill 20 crafter pumping out pants and shirts and she averages about 1 masterwork per 10 she makes. I think it's a random chance. Like, at skill level 20, with everything stacked in your favor, you've got about a 10% chance to make a Normal, a 30% chance to make good, a 50% chance to make excellent, and about a 10% chance to make masterwork.
Using a heavily modified/upgraded pawn that is also the production specialist, it feels like i get masterworks very often (and pretty much always legendary items if i have inspiration).
It's nicely set out I think.
Oh cool, does it really top out at lvl 20 or can the specialist in essence be a lvl 21 crafter?, having higher chance of masterwork+ than normal lvl 20?
This means that getting a Creativity Inspiration on a Production Specialist at or around level 20 Crafting gives you nearly a 95% chance for a Legendary item. This combo gives a better than 50% chance for a Legendary item just from having level 10 Crafting (or Construction for certain furniture pieces).
