Can I change ideology mid-game?

I got the ideology expansion pack, but I want to add it on my current world instead of starting a new one. Can I change it or is that not possible?

I think you can with Dev Mode.

Yes, as said above. Dev mode adds an option in the ideology tab that allows editing. I can't say if it will cause problems though. I've only ever used it to change names.

Altering your ideology with dev mode doesn't seem to cause issues if you change minor things, like adding/removing rituals and festivals, changing names, changing desired clothing, or adding and removing memes.

Now, if you build an altar and full temple, then remove altars from your ideology, that could cause issues... or maybe not. I dunno.

also, if you do the "archonexus quest" the first 2 times you give the base to others, you'll be able to edit the ideology

What happens if all pawns that had your original Ideology die or are gone, leaving only other ideology pawns?

When you enter your save, you will be given some random ideology. You can change it with dev mode. I didn't want to abandon my favourite colony so I changed it with dev mode to be what I want.
