Fascist ideology

Let me start by saying that what I am going to say is not meant to flame, cause upset or disclose my personal political stance in any way shape or form:

I have found a couple of mods which have added symbols for ideologies taken from games, books, movies and real life religions etc. Great. I have found a mod yesterday which encompasses the communist ideology including symbols and ideological leanings.

Is there anyone out there that can provide the opposite political ideology, i.e. fascism and the appropriate symbols for these?

Maybe controversial but no one can deny the impact these philosophies have had on our modern world and world history. Love it or hate it it is as much a part of our history as Communism and many people would like to make a fascist RW.

So could anyone make one by any chance, for those who would make use of it?

i am pretty sure that if you ask around in the rimworld discord you might just inspire someone to make a mod for it.
Someone inspired me once to make a small mod.

However i havent seen a mod that added fascism yet.
Pretty sure someone will make it to roleplay as nasi germany

I’m sure someone will make a mod for fascism (it’s really just the symbols since Ideology has the memes), but my understanding is that mods that glorify nazis (maybe others?) can get taken down, so it would have to be “store-brand fascism.” I’m not real clear on it, but others on threads can speak specifically to that.

What specific symbol are you looking for? What specific memes?

The only universal facist symbol is the "Fasces", which is an axe bundled with sticks. More modern fascist groups have incorporated the Eagle, which is a present symbol in rimworld. And the only common attribute of fascism, as far as I can tell, is exemplified in the "Supremacist" meme.

Why don't you just use different symbol? Ideology has the memes. You not going to historically recreate everything anyway.

Now all you need is an image editor (get something like gimp or even paint.net works) and download the image you want the web and edit a few files here and there and voila, you can implement the swastika and the nazi anthem if you're savvy enough.

It's really not that hard. It's like an air hockey table.

IIRC, the mod that gives icons stolen from Firaxis (Civilization) offers faschist symbols along with the rest of them.
That said, your "disclaimer", which does not carry any weight btw, is disturbing. Your name doesn't play well into it either. Think this is worth reporting.

Just curious, which communist regime hasn't been facist?

Why is communism the opposite of facism?

Merriam Webster definition: a political philosophy, movement, or regime (such as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition

Can anyone point to a communist (actual, not theoretical) regime that wasn't facist?

Mussolini's definition of facism goes something like: "Everything within the state. Nothing outside the state. Everything for the state."

So your answer there is collectivism, basically. All collectivist ideologies are inherently fascist. Socialism, communism, and fascism are all centralized, collectivist ideologies that had very little ideological differentiation.

That's why it's always so funny to see tankies proclaim things to be "fascist", because there is no meaningful distinction between them and their paper tiger.

Communists are globalists while Fascists are Nationalists. Communists love a big powerful state that controls the economy directly. Fascists love a big state that supports/coerces the elite superpowerful corporations covertly. It's not that different just different window dressing.

Given that there's never been a communist state that was actually communist, merely a variety of different fascistic ones that tend to go in for personality cults, I'm not surprised at the confusion.

Regardless, Supremacy and Collectivist are indeed the fundamental principles behind a good fascist Ideology.

It was the purges and the famines brought about by the malice, and the lack of economic competence, which characterises military dictatorships and similar fascist hellholes. And by the gods am I a fat bastard now that I actually have food to eat.

Incidentally, if you examine a history of economics, you'll notice that capitalism is tolerable today because it absorbed a number of Marxist ideas. Elsewise the Golden Rule would still apply: "He who has the gold makes the rules." Don't take my word for it, either. Go and do some independent research.
