In the ideology expansion one of the memes available to choose when creating your ideology is called darkness, the only info that show is the requirement of two precepts and unlocking the posibility of having a mining specialist.
Now said this, the supremacy meme doesn't say anything about the natural rep hit to all factions of -50, so that makes me wonder if darkness has any other effect not specified and that i didn't notice.
