Anyone have any idea how to get a Gauranlen tree?

Start as A tree huger. They have a ritual that can spawn a seed.

They spawn naturally in most biomes on average once per year, otherwise you can spawn them with specific rituals as Grayfeatherz said. Some biomes, such as tundra and ice sheets, will not get any natural spawns.

Tree connection ideology's have a higher rate for them on random events. A recent patch made it so non tree connection ideology's also rarly get the event.

Non Tree- Connection Ideology here. I finally got my first seed halfway through my second year in. Sprouted right as I started the funeral for the first pawn downed of my colony's primary religion (ie the first time I could hold an actual funeral.) I don't know if the ritual had anything to do with it, but there you go.

A random Gauranlen Pod spawns on my map about once a year now. You harvest it for the seed, then plant the seed somewhere (NOT in a grow zone, or it'll get cut down!) and optionally bond a pawn.

It will randomly sprout up giving chance to harvest it. After harvest it will allow you to plant some where else. Maybe its a time thing but I speed up my years so I got it a few times and was told it sprouted. Even though religion had nothing to do with nature or trees
