Wish Ideology was cheaper

Id love to play Ideology but for a game that Ive loved for a while but never gotten INSANELY into, its just not worth that type of money.. I mean it looks amazing, dont get me wrong, but its fairly expensive for just an expansion DLC. I understand that the developers want to make money, but as the first DLC I feel like it was a great idea but just too expensive for the common player to want. RIP Ideology

Actually Royalty is the first dlc.

I played since alpha 16 and its been worth every euro And more imo especially with mods

The way I figure it, I look at how long I'm going to enjoy something vs. what it costs. You pay $60 for a AAA game that only lasts 10 hours, that's $6 per hour. Not a good investment to me.

You pay $20 for a game or expansion that you're going to easily get 40 hours out of, and, with a game like Rimworld, could easily get 100, 200, a thousand hours out of? Can't even compare, mate.

but a standard 20$ is an odd choice, what they could have done instead was make it 10-15 then make a vehicles expansion or something and have variety in pricing, with discounts for people who own the other ones like package deals.. like the rest of the sellers on steam do (bundles)

As for decent, healthy food? Yeah... I'm wishing with you, mate. Can't even get a $5 footlong at Subway anymore. Nevermind finding decently-priced veggies at the supermarket.

If "Amazing" DLC is not worth the money then you have already made it clear this DLC is not for you. You still haven't bust more than 11 hours into Titanfall 2 so there's more value-for-money to be mined there while you wait for, perhaps, "perfect" or "godlike" DLC.

It's on par or cheaper than the vast majority of "just" expansions for games.

That said, if it's not worth your money, don't buy it. Conundrum solved.

you dont have to buy it to enjoy the game. the devs are not forcing you into buying to like other devs. if you want to support their work and enjoy a different kind of rimworld experience, buy it. if its not worth for you then dont.

That's basic economics. The higher the price, the fewer people will buy it.

I've paid more for less, and less for more. But I don't regret buying Ideology
