Otherwise? Your High Priest has a Conversion ability they can use (with a 3-day cooldown). There's also a Conversion ritual you can do at an altar or holy symbol (with a 15-day cooldown). All-in-all, it'll probably take 20-30 days to fully convert an unbelieving colonist if you don't want to arrest them. And that's IF your High Priest's Social skill is significantly higher than that of the colonist in question.
Follow up with a conversion ritual.
Often will convert them or weaken their beliefs to the point they stop trying to convert yours... or make it easier to convert them the next time you can use the speech or ritual.
they are my only cook and im tribal so i cant just arrest them
Unfortunately, since OP is tribal, this might not be ideal until you've researched bionics. Having converts with two peg legs through most of the game is going to have consequences.
so just treat them like all my other colonists
A masterful conversion ritual would immediately convert any pawn into your Ideology I think, you need a preacher with high social skill and a very impressive ritual room and enough attendence.
