You can then also select the smaller "animals" tab above the pen info in the bottom left corner and select which animals go to the that pen. You could set it so that only horses are allowed in that pen and your pawns with handling enabled will move only horses to that pen.
The nutrition grown and consumed is also shown on the pen marker info box, so you can see if the pen will sustain a horse as well.
ty, didn't notice there is a pen marker.
They are supposed to eat automatically if I understand correctly (see the nutrition values on the pen marker), if not try to place a stockpile of 1x4 full of kibble so they eat that.
Haven't really gotten into animals so I can't say if this will work. Best of luck.
