If I am understanding the OP correctly he just doesn't like that the benches are called pews because of the religious connotation, but Lokaror is maybe after something different that would impact gameplay... maybe, but he won't explain what the impact might be.
What i want. Is. That if you are correct for their to be pawns spawned without memes or with just individualist meme or whatever. I think it would be mechanically different because without memes or with very minimal memes you would be interacting with them with Your own ideology in a way that is different to how the other ideologies interact with you, and each other. They would be a "Blank slate" as opposed to a "Different slate" Meaning that things like conversion could maybe take longer or shorter, there could be different memes with dealing with prostelization or supremacy interacting with these "Blank slates" as opposed to "Different slates" But this is all conjecture as this is suggestions. And i realize that is not how things are now, and you all may feel thats not how things would work. I know this isnt the religion expansion and the difference between ideologies. I'm proposing there be a rimworld equivalent of a child vis a vis beliefs. That would differ mechanically. I have thus far been unable to explain this because i've been trying to word it, as well as me and you getting confused with the other was saying as what even the system is or means. I hope this manes sense.
isn't that already possible? Do you just want the randomization to be more heavily weighted toward less extreme ideologies?
I didn't say it wouldn't be different mechanically. I was asking you HOW it would be different if all it was was just giving certain ideologies a different UI treatment. I wanted to know what the gameplay difference would be.
This is the first time you answered the question, but I was under the impression a lot of these things are already part of ideology (though handled by personal traits). Certain pawns are more malleable than others when it comes to conversion and certain ideologies are more zealous and harder to sway (or more inclined to convert others)
And you are right, it is the first time i have answered the question. Sorry, i'm kind of out of it right now and frankly though i already had. But you may be correct in that. Sorry for any misunderstanding, or likely rudeness on my part because of any i had.
no problem at all, don't mistake my tone for antagonism either. I really wanted to know if you were onto something I hadn't considered. I have a better idea of what you are going for and I think it would be something handled by a new meme/trait/precept that would make someone especially open to latching onto a new ideology they were introduced to.
"open minded" "seeking answers" "soul searching"... something like that. Though I'm not entirely sure how much this is already covered by things that impact... that one stat I can't remember what its called right now
It's to be expected with any post, I just try to dig into valid statements and ignore the less helpful.
Yeah, I hope it makes sense what I'm trying to lay down.
Its ideologies not religions.
Not all ideologies are religious, you can make "the belief in science" as a ideology if you want. Even atheistism (believing that there is no gods) is a ideology.
