A Game of Beds

Polygamy.

Unlimited spouses.

Makes the bed situation a little difficult, as the beds are limited to two occupants and you can only assign people to one bed at a time. So... making a ton of extra beds doesn't even help much (or am I just doing it wrong? - a real possibility).

Also, I notice the marriages/relationships are all independent of one another (between couples), there are no "group" marriages or relationships, so it's a very narrow view of polyamory.

I sincerely doubt the developer wants to deep dive into what is in life one of the most complicated relationship situations... but if he ever does, it'd be nice to see the "sleeping" arrangements addressed, and would be nice to have group relationships as well... cuz... cowboy space hippy supremacists are a thing in some games.

the multibed mod works like a charm, at least with my tested 5 lovers. the problem comes afterwards, as i got no clue what happens when i got more goons coming in, than 1 bed can handle =P.

in that regard... game really needs something like an orgy room *cough*, so you can fit whatever amount of "depraved nudist hippies" your colony holds, can "sleep" with each other how they want, without the need for things like "beds" =P.

I think the game needs modular beds. Just a singular bed you can keep adding to make a bigger bed ;D

The game already addressed it in the way I assume it's going to leave it at. Couples only care about sleeping in the same room, not the same bed, so you can just have multiple beds in the room for each additional partner, it doesn't count as a barracks and everyone is happy. Lovin can't happen between different beds, but I expect that's an intended "downside" of having a colony where you can squeeze everyone into a single incredibly impressive room and nobody is left out on a relationship or hammered with rebuffs.

The inability for someone to 'get some lovin' from just the one bed assigned sounds like an oversight more than a planned down side. Strange to have multiple husbands or wives and only 'get some lovin' from one.

Sounds like the vanilla behavior + the beds mod might solve some of that, assuming someone doesn't have more than 4 spouses at a time, though.

Also -- glad to know that it checks for a relationship to remove all those penalties, that's awesome. Does everyone have to be in a relationship with everyone else for it to work? Or will they just check for 1 and call it a day?

It just checks for one relationship, but I don't know how much it chains. Like if Pawn A is in a relationship with B and C, but B and C aren't in a relationship, they are all fine in the same room. If Pawn D only has a relationship with C, I don't know what happens if you throw D in there, but you could always just put D and C in their own bedroom anyway at that point.

So, they do have to be physically present in the SAME bed to 'get some lovin', right? Or will the hearts just appear at a distance in different beds if they are in the same room? I am hearing conflicting reports.

I made my own suggestion about this before but it didn't get much attention.

I think if you leave the 2nd spot on a double bed unassigned than all the lovers/spouses of whoever is assigned the first spot should be able to sleep in the bed (not at the same time of course).

So say Bill has two lovers, Carol and Suzy. Bill is assigned a double bed with the 2nd slot left unassigned. Carol and Suzy may now sleep in the 2nd slot so long as it is not occupied. if it is occupied they then sleep in their own bed.
