Megascreen Television Unused

Hey all.

I've noticed that colonists won't use megascreen televisions. They do, however, use various flatscreens that are scattered about in my compound (either at gather spots or other colonists' rooms, if there're available seats).

The megascreen stands in my dining-/rec room with plenty of armchairs infront of it (filling the whole view square). There also used to be a flatscreen in my dining-/rec room which they used, but I moved it somewhere else, in hopes they resort to using the megascreen.

Anyone else experienced their megascreen sitting uselessly around, or are they being used? (I've seen one exception where someone had a megascreen in a hospital. While that might work, that is not how I want to use it.)

Note: several colonists can use a TV at the same time. So that is not the issue.

Since it's a purchasable object and possibly rare, it might've been overlooked by Ty in its functionality?

I have installed them plenty of times and they always get used.
I usually have it set up pretty much how you describe in the dining / rec room.

If you have multiple TVs they might just pick whichever is most convenient at the time, thus filling their TV recreation need and ignoring any TVs until the need re-arises; then taking the first best option again; which is not the megascreen.

I have never had an issue with the megascreen in my games.

Weird, maybe I am missing it or it's as you say, most flatscreens are just closer for the rec need in those situations.

They tend to pick the most convenient television when they decide to watch tv. Always fun to have an open movie theater set up but my doctor is watching tv with the prisoner in his cell because that just happens to be where he was at the time he just had to watch his soap operas. I rarely ever bother with schedule unless the colonist is a night owl I need asleep during the day for the mood bonus, but I did notice I got a lot more use out of my megascreen when I had designated recreation time with the main tv in my "rec room". As in, everyone went to the room with all the recreational stuff and then used the tv more since they already happened to be right there in the area. In the end, the size of the tv doesn't really affect the recreation they get from it, though it can affect the room decor. Television is television as far as they are concerned in the game, so which screen they actually choose to watch makes little difference.
