Your chef only gets ingredients from storage zones (unless one of your mods is pulling some kind of funny business). Don't stash horse meat, and your chef won't use it.
To ask the probably obvious question, have you looked through the mod settings to see if any of them have an option like that?
That's the point, I don't have horse meat, random ingredients just show up in my meals even if I don't, or would have no way to acquire them.
I'll check through them again, thanks. Still haven't found the cause.
I'm aware, and those are the first mods I'm checking. Most mods still work in updated versions unless parts of the game they edit have been changed in the update and I haven't had any other issues until now.
When you make for food from a cooking station, on the bill you can specify what ingredients go into that meal under details. You can also set what stockpile your cook pulls from.
Make sure your setting your simple meals to vegetable ingredients only. That should solve your issue.
You probably have done this already, but I thought to include it.
Also simple meals stack on each other regardless of ingredients. Only carnivore, vegetarian, fine, and lavish meals will stack separately. But still it all come down to what ingredients your specifying in your bill. (sorry i dont know of a mod that would be causing this issue.)
Unfortunately for me, I've already isolated any way for these ingredients to get into the food. I cleared the map of any other simple meals, set a stockpile to only have corn, set the cooking station to only take from the stockpile, set the simple meal to only take corn and watched the chef make the simple meal with only corn. The result was a simple meal with corn and Elemental Dust, the "meat" from elementals from Rimworld of Magic. Seeing as I have not even seen any elementals, there is no conceivable way the meat could have ended up in the food. Thanks for the suggestion though.
Upon some investigation I discovered that the log was outputting a notice whenever I cooked a meal. That log pointed to the mod Bulk Stonecutting . Upon removing the mod, all crafted meals came out as expected, no odd ingredients. I'm now going to load up with just the mod to see if it is a conflict or if it's the base mod. Either way I'll likely file a report to the mod creator.
