Do breach raids become regular raids once I kill off all termites?
Can anyone confirm this? Does the ai instantly respond by having the enemy start moving towards my killbox once I dispatch all the termites?

On that note, I've tested spawning mech raids of varying points (2000 - 10000) to see how many termites they come with. In all my testing, they always come with only 1. However, when playing normally, a raid spawned with 2 termites.

So what is the average or maximum number of termites you've seen in a single raid? I need to know this because, I think I can still deal with 2 termites leading a late game mech raid by sending out 2 snipers and killing them quick and having the rest of the mechs enter my killbox as usual.

I can say Ai tends to choose path of least resistance. IE, how many doors or walls (HP worth) do they need to go through to reach their target.

This is for normal raids, not for breach raids

So breach raids just straight up ignore turret coverage and plow through the path they picked? Does this mean killboxes are completely obsolete when it comes to mech breach raids?

Make internal killboxes that will shield your base even if the outer ones usually designed to funnel enemies into them are bypassed. Having plasteel walls replacing ordinary unmined stone should be a long-term goal of any good mountain base anyway.

Been playing unmodded on losing is fun with 12+ colonists and a 300k+ wealth colony. Only ever seen 2 at the same time. I usually call allies or bait them into melee.

Honestly, the breach mech raid has usually feels pretty weak compared to the others.

also AFAIK they do indeed keep breaching. Just not as good since the breachers are dead. Haven't paid too much attention to it really.

Thanks for clearing that up. I'll have to change my playstyle for when breach raid occurs then.
